  Extremely disappointed in Nordstrom and their PRICE MATCHING (or lack therof) POLICY. I recently visited the store for some shoes for my wife. The associate was helpful until it came time to purchase the item. Since it was Christmas time and the shoes were $189.99, I thought I would check and see if anyone was running any promotions. I pulled up 3 different websites on my phone (Amazon, Wiggles and Adidas) all 3 had the same exact item in stock in the same exact size (with free shipping and free returns) and ALL for around $126.00 and Nordstrom WOULD NOT PRICE MATCH. It was excuse after excuse after excuse. I left the store without purchasing the shoes as the difference in price was significant. I went to their website and started a chat with a Nordstrom Rep who told me they would price match no matter what. After I gave her the first Amazon link out came excuse after excuse about why they could not price match again. Then, I provided the link from the shoe manufactures website (Adidas dot com) and after significant back and forth again and excuse after excuse the Chat Rep said they could not price match because they could not find the item I wanted on their website, but I was then told that not all of the items they carry are listed on their website. The Chat Rep then suggest that I (the Customer) contact the store that I was just at and tell them to price match the item. Great Customer Service right? Let's not take care of the customer, let's shift the blame to them and then ask them to call and enforce the company's own policies with the company's employees. I then told the Chat Rep that she should contact the store on my behalf as that is how proper customer service should be. She then said she would call the store and get approval for the price match. After 30 min went by I simply decided to just go to Adidas dot com and with 3 clicks purchased the shoes i originally wanted directly from Adidas. Nordstrom, you are far from what you used to be and I will NEVER give your store another dime. You have lost sight of the one thing that used to set you apart from everyone else.
